Daniel Macaulay

Founder / CEO

Daniel is the founder and CEO at Brandwave. Growing up in Southwest Ireland, he was surrounded by some of the best surfing and windsurfing conditions in the world and spent much of his youth teaching and competing in windsurfing. As a member of the Irish National Windsurfing Team, Daniel competed all over the world. Travel and discovering new waves is still one of Daniel’s biggest passions and it’s doesn’t take long for him to get itchy feet again once he’s back in the office. Daniel has a degree in marketing and an MBA from Dublin Business School. Formerly the European Marketing Director for O’Neill, Daniel works primarily as a strategic consultant for our clients including adidas, BMW and The North Face.

Jessica Rouse

Head of Strategy

As Head of Strategy, Jessica oversees all strategic projects and leads Brandwave’s strategic department. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with our clients in the UK and Globally. Brandwave’s strategic department covers projects such as brand and campaign strategy and business and marketing consultancy projects. With a background in management consultancy and a PhD in materials science often Jessica looks after our more technical and scientific brands. As a massive fitness and group exercise fan she can often be found in boutiques and studio classes around the globe. When not in the office Jessica will be mainly found cooking up healthy and nutritious treats for the team, at the gym, road biking, on her SUP or running around after her daughter on the beach.

Samuel Freeman

Creative Director

As Creative Director at Brandwave, Sam is ultimately responsible for the creative direction of all of our projects and the development of the creative team, as well as being a full-time designer himself. With over 8 years’ industry experience (and an unhealthy obsession for new technologies and design trends), Sam has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, on everything from global creative campaigns, to video and animation production. Sam continually progresses Brandwave, ensuring that we are not only at the top of our game, but also at the forefront of design, and that we are aware of any cutting-edge skills/new services. If Sam isn’t in the studio, you are guaranteed to find him on the water or in the gym.

Emma Cox

Client Service Director

Emma is Brandwave’s Client Service Director, she previously led some of our largest client accounts and projects for over four years before transitioning to look after the relationships of all our key clients. Emma is a PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified Project Manager with over ten years of experience in both project management and business analysis. Combined with having experienced running every type of project at Brandwave; from global ecommerce and digital strategy projects, to heading up our activation team, and overseeing numerous successful creative campaigns. Emma really is the perfect person to guide and support our clients to ensure they receive maximum ROI from all of their work with us.
It doesn’t stop with looking after our clients, affectionally known in the team as ‘Mamma Bear’, it’s fallen to Emma to look after the whole team from a motherly perspective. This includes medical supplies, advice and excessive amounts of homemade cake, Emma’s Gin & Tonic cake, is somewhat legendary around these parts. Emma comes from a family history of commercial fisherman, was raised by the sea, and loves spending her summers on the water. When not at the beach you can find Emma running the trails of the South Downs or having PT sessions with her gym buddy our Head of Strategy, Jessica.

Oliver Robinson

Head of Sales

As Account Director and Strategic Consultant, Ollie has worked with many leading brands from across the sport, outdoor, fitness, triathlon and bike worlds.Since joining the Brandwave team, Ollie has successfully delivered a wide variety of both creative and strategic projects from global re-brands, award-winning campaigns and video production through to developing comprehensive global brand strategies.

Having graduated with a BA Hons in Marketing, and specialising in the sports sector as part of his final year studies, Ollie brings a strategic perspective and core industry insight to all projects he oversees. A self-proclaimed avid road biker, skier and advocate for getting out there outside of the 9-5, he’s also a truly affirmed member of the target audience.
