Established in 1990, Snowcard are one of the industry pioneers for the provision of tailored insurance policies for sporting trips. Leading the way in bespoke sports insurance, Snowcard provide a seamless, fast, accurate and relevant policy purchase experience.

The company’s brand values are centred on security and peace of mind providing all of their consumers with the right product for their requirements. Snowcard want their clients to feel empowered and protected, safe in the knowledge that they are covered in the event of a problem.

The Challenge

Snowcard approached Brandwave to design and build a new website for a new era. The updated site needed to provide consumers with a transparent, informative, and jargon-free user experience. It also needed to be developed with an enhanced and more intuitive user journey.

As part of the project, Snowcard also wanted us to update their company branding and create a new visual identity to help differentiate them in the crowded insurance market. Pivotal to the success of the project was the selection of an appropriate content management system that was customisable as well as easily updatable moving forward.

The Result

The Brandwave creative team designed a more modern brand identity that reflected Snowcard’s brand values. This was underpinned by a new visual identity that encompassed a brighter and younger look and feel.

The Brandwave digital team then reviewed the existing Snowcard website and undertook a full scoping exercise for the new build. This enabled our digital team to truly understand the issues surrounding the current site and identify new methods to improve it. The website was built using a Drupal CMS with multiple custom modules. This provides:

  • A quoting engine which can be adjusted and managed by the client in the back-end

  • A bespoke, Drupal CRM that allows the client to manage clients, quotes and policies directly within the website. The CRM is also used for telephone sales

  • A custom reporting engine which provides a selection of financial reports specific to the client’s requirements

  • A standard Content Management System that allows the client to manage all static website content, pages and menus from the same back-end system
